We’re Hiring: Estimator (ASAP) | Group LanDev (GLD) Location: South Florida – Miami-Dade and Broward Employment Type: Full-Time | On-site / Hybrid Company: Group LanDev (GLD) General Contractor About the Role Group LanDev (GLD) is a general contractor in South Florida, and we’re looking for an Estimator to join our team as soon as possible. You’ll prepare accurate, competitive estimates and bids for construction projects, working closely with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers. 🔹 Responsibilities Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents. Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed cost estimates (materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors). Request, compare, and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes. Prepare and submit bids and proposals on schedule. Work with project managers on budgets, scope, and value engineering. Identify project risks, scope gaps, and cost-saving opportunities. Keep cost databases and pricing up to date. Support the team from preconstruction through project handoff. 🔹 Requirements Proven experience as an Estimator or Preconstruction Estimator in construction (general contracting preferred). Strong skills in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications. Experience with takeoff and estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff) and Microsoft Excel. Solid knowledge of construction methods, materials, and local pricing. Experience working with subcontractors and suppliers. Strong attention to detail, math, and analytical skills. Able to meet tight bid deadlines and handle several bids at once. Good written and verbal communication.
