Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026
This policy explains how TEDGE Human Capital Management (“TEDGE”, “we”) handles personal data on TEDGE Recruitment. We act as the data controller. We follow Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 and, for people in the European Economic Area or the UK, the GDPR.
1. What we collect
- Candidates: name, email, phone, LinkedIn link, current title, years of experience, location, your CV and the text in it, the roles you applied to, your job alerts, and your language and notification choices.
- Employers: your name, work email and phone, company name, website, size and industry, the roles you post, billing details and the invoices and payments for them.
- AI results: the score, summary, strengths and gaps produced for an application, and notes from recruiters.
- Messages: what you send through the contact form, WhatsApp link or chat assistant.
- Technical data: sign-in and security records, IP address, device and browser type, and the pages and links you use (for example which job link brought you to a role). See our Cookie Policy.
2. Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To run the service: create accounts, publish roles, take applications, screen and shortlist candidates, share applications with the employer concerned, invoice and take payments. Basis: performing our contract with you, or steps you ask for before a contract.
- To send you service emails (invites, receipts, role updates) and, if you set them up, job alerts. Basis: contract, and your consent for alerts, which you can switch off at any time.
- To keep the platform safe and prevent abuse and fraud. Basis: our legitimate interest in a secure service.
- To meet tax, accounting and other legal duties. Basis: legal obligation.
- To improve the service and answer your questions. Basis: our legitimate interest.
3. AI and human review
We use an AI service to read CVs and role descriptions, score how well a CV matches a role, and draft or translate text. The text sent for this is used to produce the result. Our AI provider does not use data submitted through its API to train its models, under its commercial terms (Anthropic Commercial Terms). AI results support, and do not replace, human judgement: on Managed roles a TEDGE recruiter reviews them, and on Self-service roles the employer decides. No one is rejected by an automated score alone without a person being able to review it. You can ask for a human review at any time.
4. Who sees your data
- The employer you apply to sees your application. We do not send your profile to other employers because you applied to one role.
- TEDGE staff (administrators and recruiters) can see candidate and employer data they need to do their work.
- Service providers that process data for us, under contract: Supabase (database and file storage), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email), Paymob (card payments), Anthropic (AI processing) and, if you choose to sign in with it, Google.
- Authorities, advisers or a buyer of our business, only where the law requires or allows it.
We do not sell personal data.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers store or process data outside Egypt and outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens we rely on contractual safeguards and require appropriate security, as the applicable law requires.
6. How long we keep it
- Candidate profiles, CVs and applications: if you have an account, until you delete it. If you applied as a guest, for 2 years after your last activity, unless one of your applications is still in progress; then an automatic daily job anonymizes your name, email, phone, LinkedIn link and CV file. You can delete your data sooner.
- Employer accounts and roles: while the account is open, and afterwards only what we need for billing and legal records.
- Invoices and payment records: for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Contact messages: until we have answered them and for a reasonable period afterwards.
7. Your rights
You can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy in a common format, withdraw consent you gave, and ask for a human review of an AI-assisted assessment. Candidates can delete their account and data from their profile settings; applications already sent stay with the employers concerned, shown as “Deleted candidate”. For anything else, email info@tedgeltd.com and we will answer within a reasonable time and in any case within the period the law sets.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Centre or, if you are in the EEA or UK, to your local data protection authority.
8. Security
We use access controls, encryption in transit and private storage for CVs and documents, and we limit who can see personal data. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
9. Children
The service is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. If a change matters we will tell you before it takes effect, and the date at the top of this page will change.
