About the role
Group Landev is a South Florida general contractor specializing in concrete restoration, structural repair, post-tension repair, waterproofing, building envelopes, balcony restoration, and garage rehabilitation. We are looking for an experienced Estimator / Preconstruction Manager to take full ownership of our bid pipeline—from identifying opportunities and preparing estimates to submitting bids, following up, and supporting project handover after award. Key Responsibilities:• Identify qualified opportunities through GC invitations, plan rooms, bid boards, and public procurement portals.• Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare estimates from drawings, specifications, engineering reports, and milestone inspection reports.• Price concrete restoration, spall repair, post-tension repair, waterproofing, coatings, balconies, garages, and related structural scopes.• Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.• Develop unit pricing, allowances, and contingencies for hidden or unforeseen conditions.• Prepare complete bid packages with clear inclusions, exclusions, assumptions, and qualifications.• Manage bid deadlines, addenda, RFIs, compliance documents, insurance requirements, and bid bonds.• Follow up on submitted bids, attend scope reviews, and support negotiations.• Maintain an accurate opportunity pipeline and report on bid status, outcomes, and hit rate.• Provide complete handover documentation for awarded projects. Required Qualifications:• At least 5 years of estimating experience with a concrete restoration, structural repair, or building-envelope contractor.• Demonstrated experience bidding to general contractors or construction managers, preferably in South Florida.• Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or equivalent estimating software.• Strong Excel skills.• Ability to interpret structural drawings, specifications, and engineering repair documents.• Proven ability to manage multiple bid deadlines and submit complete, compliant bids on time.• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications:• Bilingual English/Spanish.• Experience with Florida public-sector bidding.• Experience estimating post-tension repairs.• Familiarity with Florida milestone inspection requirements.• Knowledge of SBE, CBE, or DBE certification programs.• Existing relationships with South Florida contractors or engineering firms.• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
